First night in Minneapolis

I arrived at the Bloomington-Normal airport at about 3pm. A handful of old grad school buddies and professors also arrived shortly after. It was great getting a moment to catch up and see how everyone is doing at the airport bar! The flight in went well. After landing we headed to the Hyatt hotel to drop off our stuff. The hotel is really neat! I’m impressed with it! Great quality for the price, awesome lobby/bar, and neat contemporary interior design. Afterwards we went to the ‘News Room’ for dinner. VERY neat atmosphere and GREAT food! I ordered a port pear salad. The pears were literally marinated in port wine and the salad had candied walnuts and blue cheese crumbles on it, it was delicious! Afterwards we headed back to the hotel lobby and hung out with a few friends and colleagues while enjoying some drinks from the bar. I’m really digging Minneapolis. It’s clean, it’s neat, and so far a lot of fun!!!
